Frequently Asked Questions

How many square feet will 2.5 gallons cover?

The coverage area would depend on the concentration with which you mix the Roundup. Please refer to the manufacturers label for your specific situation and the table on page 3 to determine the percent solution of water to Roundup ratios.

From the Label:
Use 26 fluid ounces per acre if weeds are less than 6 inches in height or runner length
and 1.2 to 3.2 quarts per acre if weeds are over 6 inches in height or runner length or
when weeds are growing under stressed conditions. Use the higher rate for tough-to-
control species regardless of the weed size at application. Treat tough-to-control weeds
early when they are relatively small. This product may be tank mixed provided that the
specific tank mix product is registered for use on the target site. Refer to these product
labels for approved sites and application rates. Read and carefully observe the cautionary
statements and all other information appearing on the labels of all herbicides used. Use
according to the most restrictive precautionary statements for each product in the mixture.
For spray-to-wet applications, apply a 0.4 percent solution of this product to weeds less
than 6 inches in height or runner length. Apply prior to seedhead formation in grass or bud
formation in broadleaf weeds. For annual weeds over 6 inches tall, or for smaller weeds
growing under stressed conditions, use a 0.8 to 1.6 percent solution. Use the higher rate
for tough-to-control species or for weeds over 24 inches tall.

Will this kill Bermuda grass even when dormant?

No, this will not kill Bermuda when it is dormant.

When in dormancy, the plant cannot intake what is being sprayed through the roots. Your Bermuda grass will be fine while you spray to kill the weeds as long as you follow the label for the recommended amount of product used.

How does this compare to Q4? I don't want to kill the grass, just the weed on the grass.

*****Do not use Roundup Pro Concentrate on your lawn unless you want to kill everything***** Roundup pro concentrate is a non-selective herbicide. It will kill most everything it is sprayed on. You would want to look for a 3 or 4 way herbicide similar to Q4. Without knowing what type of lawn you have or what your reasoning is to stop using Q4, I can not make any suggestions as to what might work. You could look at the Triad QC label (very similar to Q4 without the sulfentrazone) to determine if your lawn type is compatible with the active ingredients. You can also look at the Triad TZ label for compatibility.

Does it kill bamboo? If so, how did you use it on the bamboo? Cut 1st or spray directly on it?

This will control bamboo, but it may take multiple applications for complete control. For it to be effective, the bamboo should be cut and regrow to 3 ft, or until new leaves expand out.

I need a solution of about 7% Glyphosate. How much water would be needed to mix with Roundup Pro Concentrate 50.2%

For a 7% solution of Glyphosate you should mix about 9.1fl oz of RoundUp Pro Concentrate per 1 gallon of water.
