Frequently Asked Questions
Is it a concentrate?
Yes, T-Zone is a concentrated herbicide. The use rate depends on your turf type. For warm season grasses the manufacturer recommends 0.75-0.83 ounces per 1000 sq ft. For cool season grasses, the rate is 1.2-1.5 ounces per 1000.
How is it applied? To Nutsedge from a Sprayer directly? Or in a hose mixing application for the entire yard? Concentrate Mixing instructions?
You could spot treat those areas which contain nutsedge, or use a broadcast sprayer to treat your entire yard. T-Zone is not intended to be dispensed using a hose end sprayer.
If you are trying to specifically control nutsedge, I would look to a product which contains only Sulfentrazone, e.g. Surepyc or Dismiss. The concentration of Sulfentrazone in T-Zone is only 0.66%. Surepyc has a concentration of 39.6%.
Because you do not mention the type of lawn you have, there is no way to know what the rate per 1000 sq ft would be. Please see a photo for common turf types and application rates for Surepyc. If you do not see your turf type listed on the label, do not use Surepyc as serious damage or death may occur to your lawn.
Can this be used with MSO to enhance effectiveness?
According to the manufacturer’s label, it is not recommended to use any surfactant with T-Zone as it can lead to damage for the turf grass.
