Frequently Asked Questions

I have a question regarding ProSolutions 15-0-0 with 6% Iron. 2.5 Gallons. What type of Chelated iron does it contain? Is it 6% EDTA, DTPA, ortho-ortho EDDHA, ortho-para EDDHA, or para-para EDDHA? Thank you

Apologies for the delay, we were asking our manufacturer the type. The type of chelated iron is Ferrous Sulfate.

How long should I wait after spraying before I let my pets and child play in the yard after spraying?

If you are only applying the 15-0-0, you would only have to wait until the product was dry. Please be advised that the iron in this product will cause discoloring of hard surfaces, concrete, siding, wooden fences etc.

How many ounces of product per gallon of water? thanks

Thank you for your question. The answer would depend on the specific use you are using the 15-0-0 for AND the amount of discharge of your sprayer. If you were applying the 15-0-0 to a Tall Fescue lawn, the rate would be 2-8 ounces per enough water to cover 1000 sq ft. I know this sounds vague, but the amount of discharge from your sprayer is the critical variable. Determine the amount of square feet one gallon of water will cover from your sprayer, then you will have a better understanding of how much 15-0-0 will need to go into that gallon to obtain the correct ratio.
Please contact our office at 865-983-1454 if you have any further questions.

I plan to use this on a field of clearfield sunflowers. This will be applied around 3-4 weeks after plants emerge. My sprayer is calibrated to 25 gallons per acre at 4mph. Can you tell me what ratio I need to apply this to one acre?

The ratio you would use is 1/2 pint per 25 gallons of water

How many gallons of water I have to put into my sprayer for every 8-10 oz of this fertilizer ???

Hello,
The label information is listed below. You would mix the fertilizer in enough water to cover 1000 sq ft (assuming you are treating turf grass). The amount of water is dependent on the rate of spray your equipment dispenses over a given area. If you are not sure you can do a simple calibration using an 8oz cup of water and a known area like your driveway.
1. Pour the 8 oz cup into your empty sprayer and evenly spray it out over your driveway.
2. Determine how many sq feet of the driveway was covered.
3. Divide 1000 by that number. This will be the number of cups needed to cover the 1000 sq ft. (there are 16 cups in each Gallon of water).

Labeled Rates:
ORNAMENTALS – Foliar: 1/2 pint per 25 gallons of water as full coverage spray Soil: 4-6 oz. in 3 gallons of water per 100 sq. ft.

SHRUBS – Foliar: 1.5 gal. per 100 gal of water as full coverage spray Soil (small shrubs): 5-6oz. in 3 gallons of water per 100 sq. ft. Soil (large shrubs): 10-12 oz in 3-5 gallons of water.

TREES – Foliar: mix 1 gal to 100 gal of water as a full coverage spray Soil: apply 1 pint per inch of trunk diameter.

TURF – Bahiagrass, Bentgrass, Centipedegrass, Tall Fescue, St. Augustine, Zoysia, Bluegrass and Rye: 2-8 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. Bermuda: apply 4-10 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Does the fertilizer 15-0-0 with 6% iron require watering it into lawn after spraying?

You would want to water soon after applying the 15-0-0, lets say 2 to 4 hours depending on environmental conditions. This will ensure the fertilizer is washed off the grass blades and into the soil for root absorption.

When do I water this after applying?

You would want to water soon after applying the 15-0-0, lets say 2 to 4 hours depending on environmental conditions. This will ensure the fertilizer is washed off the grass blades and into the soil for root absorption.

Is it best to apply this solution foliar? Also how often can I apply if I am applying at max rate for. Bermuda (10oz/1k sqft)?

Yes, 15-0-0 is most efficiently applied as a foliar treatment. For your Bermuda, since the nitrogen is an immediate release formulation, you could re-apply in about 3 weeks.

I'm applying Lesco T&O 32oz., Lesco 0-0-25 32oz., C-BIO 32oz., Humic Acid 32oz., in my 25 gallon sprayer full of water, I do this in the morning and leave it on my lawn until the next morning when my irrigation kicks on. How much of your ProSolutions can I add to this mixture? I've been doing this application approx. every couple weeks all summer...depending on the south Mississippi heat. I never apply when temperatures exceed 85 degrees.

Since there does not appear to be any other nitrogen source in your current application, I see no problem adding the recommended label rate for your grass.
The label rates are as follows:

2-8 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft. Bermuda: apply 4-10 oz. per 1,000 sq. ft”
