Ornamec Over-The-Top Grass Herbicide provides outstanding post-emergent control of unwanted grasses in groundcovers, shrubs, and trees. Mixed with Aqua-Zorb CA Nonionic Surfactant, Ornamec Over-The-Top is ideal for any areas where control of unwanted grasses is desired, including in and around newly emerging ornamentals and transplants, as well as in established plantings. The label lists more than 400 species and varieties of plants that may be treated with “over-the-top” applications without risk of plant injury, plus 200 additional species listed according to the risk of plant injury. Ornamec Over-The-Top stops grass growth within 48 hours; death occurs within 1 to 3 weeks.

Ornamec OTT is not labeled for use in Gardens.
From the manufacturer’s label: “Not for use in vegetable gardens or on fruit-bearing
trees and shrubs intended for consumption.”
Will it kill pachysandra?
Per the Manufactuer’s label, yes this product can be used to treat pachysandra.
What is the mixture rate to kill Bermuda grass but not Fescue?
Per the manufacturer’s label, it recommends 0.4 – 0.5fl oz of product to 1 gallon of water plus 0.3fl oz of the non-ionic surfactant that comes with the product with the warnings that “This application should be made once bermudagrass is fully green and retreated if necessary. Retreat in 14 to 21 days if regrowth occurs. Complete control may take 1 to 2 growing seasons. Take care with applications to tall fescue during the summer months (July and August). Avoid applications to tall fescue under stress due to drought, temperature extremes, or chemical injury”.
